The Pereday Festival of Peremabiri provides cultural education and love through the cultural displays: the native dance, music, and creative arts of Omogu Aru, Adaka sei and other cultural customs. The Pereday Festival is focused on promoting the core values of the land which are hospitality, love, peace and progress by bringing together artists, performers, and performance groups in a celebration of Native cultures of the land and of Bayelsa state as a whole. The Pereday Festival unites the major native cultural groups of the Local Government area, as well as the state at large, the likes of Egbele Gbele dance group from Amassoma Community and other arts from Ekowe, Ikianbiri, Olugbobiri etc. These groups share their rich heritage of their respective cultures, which not only solidifies the Bayelsa Native identity, but also educates all people as to the nature of cultures different from ours. This tradition was practiced by our forefathers. The rich artistic traditions were lost for the period when war was in existence in the community. But having peace returned to the land, thus, the needs arises for us the build the platform that maintains the value of the community which is the Pereday. The organizers of this edition are children of Peremabiri who have the peace of the community at heart, who have being away from the town for years have come together to return the glory of the city. We at this point call on your support as a person, organization and company to give your best to bringing the glory and the core values of the land to limelight.
